Today was just a simple bike path ride. It poured rain the first half mile. After that, it was really cool and borderline cold. Found some walking sticks but didn't get them. Rode up to Sterchi Hills church. That's a great hill. Rode home just as it was starting to rain again.

Tucson AZ. Today Dad, Michael and I rode along the river bike path from Rillito Race track out west. This ride was supposed to be a lot longer but was plagued with flat tires. The tires on Gary's bike were crusty and weather beaten. Therefore, the bead wire popped out and poked a hole in the tube. Fixed flat #1. Saw a quail egg sitting on a wall. Rode a bit more and got flat #2. Fixed that one and about a quarter mile later, a blow out. This blew the tube out of the tire and around the hub three times. On a hwy I would have been in deep trouble. I was on this path and therefore did not crash. I love the bike path here. So dad and Mike rode back tot he cars, got a 7.53 mile ride and I waited by the Pima Lung and sleep center in a strip mall for dad to pick me up. Then it was off to Tombstone.

Tucson AZ. Today Dad, Michael and I rode to Agua Caliente Park. We rode out east through neighborhoods to avoid some hills. Saw a coyote, roadrunners and fish at AC park. Once we got there the humidity went up considerably. A beautiful oasis in the desert! We rode back west and headed south on Catalina Hwy and joined the hardcore riders coming back from Mt. Lemon and headed for LeBuzz. Tucson has a amazing bike infrastructure!!!

Tucson AZ. Today Dad and I rode to Sabino Cyn and back. We rode there via Canyon ranch and Indian Ruins. Tanque Verde Wash. We also rode through the country club/spa ranch where Diana Ross was staying when she got her DUI.
It was a great ride with good hills. Sabino Cyn had mountain lion warnings. We saw a few road runners too.
