Did the Knoxville Downtown Tennessee River Run. The extended version. Started at the market garage. Rode down to World’s Fair Park to see a Biker 911 memorial. It was cool to see all the bikes. Hundreds!!!
Then I rode down to the river. and decided to check out the Alcoa Hwy greenway. Rode over the bridge and the to the over side where UT has it’s ag program. Rode on back. Then rode on to the Bearden side of the greenway. Stopped for a lunch break then headed back and out to Ijams and the Forks of the River Wildlife Preserve. Had another snack break. Started hearing shotgun blasts and I headed back. Saw a lot more cyclists than normal. On the south side, saw what I thought was a drug deal. Then I saw a group of roadies cruise by. Headed on through downtown and Market Sq.

After an overnight rainstorm, there was a bit of residual street wet. Started at 5am which allowed me 2.2 additional miles. Saw the same jogger about three times. Waved each time. The fog got interesting toward the end of the ride. At parts, it was just the headlight beam I could see.

Riding this morning, I saw the edge of a far off cloud being lit up by lightning. Threw me off a bit as It was clear above me and the storm was really far away. Saw two more flashes during the ride. Kept up the pace and stayed in the big ring more often.

Riding through the fog this morning. New batteries, big difference. Dripping beard too.

Back on the bike after a few days off. A bit hard to get back into it. I kept the cadence up and felt pretty good. because of this my average speed was lower but I got a good ride out of it. Almost got hit on my own street. Person cut too close. Had to put a foot down on the curb to avoid falling over.

Rode with the boy (Razor Scootering) out to a Scout meeting at the park. Saw a 3.5 foot garter snake (the second snake I’ve seen here so far). Rode back and had a good leisurely ride with the boy.
